South African Bowler Tsotsobe Ban for 8 Years

South African medium pacer Lonowabe Tsotsobe has been banned for eight years in the allegation of the match fixing.

According to the media reports, South African fast bowler, Tsotsobe remained number one in the one day cricket bowling list, and he is banned for 8 years. He was accused of the match fixing during the domestic T20 event in 2015 and six players have already been punished for the corruption case before Tsotsobe. Under the Anti Corruption Code of South Africa, the players, who got the punishment of ban are included with Golam Bodi, Alviro Pietersen, Thami Solikilo, Jeans Simes, Pamila Machikaway and Ehthy Embalhaiti, who got the punishment from 2 to 20 years.

The chairman of the anti corruption unit said that the fast bowler has accepted the ten allegations in which match fixing, did not provide information being involved in corruption, did not inform about the other person by violating the code of conduct, do not cooperate with the investigation team and creating obstacle by hiding the facts of the case.

The South African cricket board suspended the bowler in 2015 in the match fixing scandal.
