Shoaib Malik responded after criticism Wasim Akram. The all rounder rejected the allegation for remaining alone in field and said he was not expecting such comment from legend cricketer. Hopefully, he will say positive things about cricketers in the future.
Shoaib Malik told media in Duabi that sometimes people say such things on TV in order to take attention. He said he assisted captain as team man and bated at every position in top order according to situation. He said coming 1st in test ranking despite the absence of cricket in Pakistan is a big achievement. They also want to make a place in limited over matches. There are several talented young players in the team and they are ready to face the challenge of West Indies in T20 series.
It should be cleared that Wasim Akram said while commenting on TV channel during Pakistan tour to England that Shoaib Malik really disturbed him as he goes to third man and remains there. As a senior player, he should assist captain and help bowlers but it was not visible. He wasn’t look interested in the matters and wasn’t worried about ODI series.
