PTV Sports has been launched by Pakistan Television Corporation which started its test transmission on December 30, 2011. It is the state owned channel which broadcast its programs 24 hours a day. The objective of this TYV channel is to broadcast programs relating to sports and all sports events and matches being played in Pakistan and all over the world.
It started its regular transmission after inauguration ceremony being conducted in PTV Center Islamabad on January 11, 2012. This channel broadcast all matches of Asia Cricket Cup 2012 being played among Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India. PTV Sports telecast all cricket matches live including T20 World Cup, Asia Cup, ICC Cricket World Cup, Finals, Semi Finals of ODI, T20 and Test matches.
Now PTV Sports has made special arrangements for the live transmission of ICC World Twenty20 being played in Sri Lanka this September in which all test cricket teams and qualifiers of the tournament will participate in the tournament. The matches will broadcast live and sports programs relating to the tournament will also telecast. Cricket experts will give their comments on the match.
