International Tennis Starts in Pakistan After 12 years

International tennis will start in Pakistan after 12 years and the draws for tie in Davis Cup (Asia Oceania group) against Iran have been announced. Aqeel Khan and Shahin Khaledan will compete on Friday. These draws were announced by referee of International tennis Federation Stephen Stolo for the scheduled three day event on the hard courts of Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad. On that occasion, players and officials of both the teams were also present. Pakistan’s No. 1 player Aqeel Khan will play against Iran’s Shahin Khaledan on Friday 10 am. In the 2nd singles match, Aisam ul Haq and Anoosha Shahgholi will play a match.

In Davis cup doubles, Pakistan’s Abid Ali Akbar and M Abid will play a match against Iran’s Amir Hussain Badi and Hamid Raza Nadaf while reverse singles will be played on 5th February 2017.
