Lahore: the champions trophy will start today from a match between Pakistan and India, whereas in Breda the city of Holland old opponents according to Pakistani time will be in front of each other at 5 in the evening.
37th champions trophy will start in Breda city of Holland from Saturday. The most important thing about this event is that this is the last champions trophy, and after this the event will be ended forever, the Pakistan hockey federation former president air MarshallNoor khan gave the idea of champions trophy and he made the trophy specially for this event.
Pak vs Ind Match
The first champion’s trophy was played in Lahore in 1978, and Pakistan won this tournament under Salah uddin captaincy. Pakistan has won this title for three times in, 1978, 1980 and 1994. Last time Pakistan won this title under shahbaz khan captaincy. In this champions trophy 6 teams are included, the world champions Australia, Olympic champions Argentina along with the host Holland, Belgium, Pakistan and India are included.
Pakistan, India and Belgium are being made a part of this tournament on the private invitation by the international hockey federation. In the opening match of the champion’s trophy Pakistan and India teams will be seen in action against each other.
The 18 member national hockey team squad includes, Muhammad rizwan senior (captain), Imran butt, Muhammad irfan, mubashir ali, aleem Bilal, ammad shakeel butt, tohseeq arshad, Rashid Mahmood, tasawar Abbas, Abu bakar, Muhammad irfan junior, Arslan qadir, Umar bhutta, shafqat rasool, ali shah, afzal yaqoob and ijaz ahmed. Manager Hassan sardar, head coach roulant oultmanz and Coaches Muhammad saqlain and rehan butt are included.

Here the Pakistan team management have made their plan for the first match, last day during the camp the players were being trained very well, in evening during the team meeting every player was told about his responsibilities, on this occasion they players were told clearly, that don t get under any kind of pressure in the match against India and try to play their natural game.
The captain Muhammad rizwan said that this is the last champions trophy audition and every team will try their best to make it memorable, it is our wish as well that we play such a game that everyone remember it, mega event is not less than a challenge to us, all the players are pumped up and are ready to win the tournament.
The captain said that in the tournament our match is not only with India but with other teams as well and we will try to win the matches against our old opponent and the other teams as well.
In 2014 in the champions trophy semifinal Pakistan won against India because of the goad done by Arslan qadir. Regarding this match Arslan qadir said, that there are golden memories of last audition in my mind, and after 4 years we will try to do the same, at this time we are in more fit condition as compared to last audition, and we will try our level best to defeat other teams as well including India.
