Afghanistan wanted to play four ODIs against Pakistan from 15 April to 8 May, which would be played in Lahore and Karachi.
Kenya Women cricket team also visits Pakistan and the development program is made necessary and they have to play the series of matches against Pakistan women cricket team. The national cricket team of Afghanistan has already visited Pakistan in 2011 and it is going to play the series against Pakistan A, which was the first cricket against any international cricket team after the terrorist attack on the visiting cricket team of Sri Lanka in March 2009 in Lahore. The national cricket academy started its camp and now the government is going to start hosting the present series against Afghanistan.
Before this, Zimbabwe toured Pakistan and it has played three ODIs and two T20I the previous year and this series was successful because of heavy security arrangements.
